Marvin L. "Buzz" Oates has been a major factor in the growth and development of the Greater Sacramento region for over 50 years. During that time, Mr. Oates has built companies and developed more than 50 million square feet of industrial, office and retail space. Mr. Oates was the founding Director of American River Bank, serving in such capacity until 1990. He was also the driving force and founding shareholder behind the creation of Five Star Bancorp, for which he is currently a Director. Mr. Oates is widely known for his political and civic involvement.

From mowing lawns and collecting bottles as a young boy in the 1930's, to saving $2,000 earned in the military to start his own business, Buzz has always had the keen ability to recognize an opportunity - and to turn opportunity into success. Mark A. "Ace" Doughty
Mark A. "Ace" Doughty, JD, CCIM, CIPS has experience in the Commercial Real Estate field since 1980. He obtained a BA in the Special Major of “Business- Law” from California State University, Chico in 1976 and a JD Law degree from University of the Pacific, Mc George School of Law in 1979. After working as a Judicial Attorney for the Fifth District of the California Court of Appeals for a year, he began private practice of business law and real estate along with other types in Northern California in 1980.
He has been a developer of Office and Retail space since 1986 and a California Real Estate Broker since 1992. Mr. Doughty has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation from the National Association of Realtors. He also is designated as a Certified International Property Specialist by NAR.
He is principal in several companies and is Manager of Oates & Doughty Properties, LLC along with his partner Buzz Oates. They are building, marketing and managing, office, retail and industrial properties.
